Tribratanews.polri.go.id - A total of 122 victims of the DNA Pro trading robot have reported the cases of alleged fraud to the Directorate of Special Economic Crime (Dittipideksus) of the Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) of The Indonesian National Police (Polri) on Monday, (28/3/2022).

The victim's lawyer, Muhammad Zainul Arifin, explained that the case his client experienced was a criminal act, not an allegation.

"This is very concerning because there are already 122 people who said that they are the victims of this scam, and maybe, even more, will follow," he said at Bareskrim, South Jakarta, Monday, March 28, 2022.

Trading robots are designed to take profits, but their capabilities are limited and not easy, quoted from investopedia.com, most of these robots are built with Metatrader, use the MQL scripting language which tends to generate signals or orders, and manage.

Trading robots are available and can be purchased over the internet. However, users should be careful when buying a trading system in this way. Usually, companies will offer trading robots and guarantee their money will return. The scammers then take away the money a few weeks later.

According to Zainul, the crime was committed by management with legal entities, namely PT Digital Net Asia and PT DNA Pro Akademi. He said the two were suspected of conspiring, because of the possibility of committing the same act.

“Those who we reported are CEO, owner or the founders, co-founder and their high officials. There is a public figure among these high officials,” said Zainul.

These leaders lured the victims by persuading them that the systems can gain profits.

"One of the violations violates the ITE Law," he said.

Later, Zainul explained that the Dirtipideksus had received the report and had processed it immediately.

"The authorities have already taken notice of it, meaning that many have been examined and in one or two days they will be examined again," he said.

For losses, he said that the victims suffered losses ranging from Rp700 million to Rp1,5 billion.
