Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Efforts to make the Children's Welfare Program (Kasuari) a success continue to be carried out by the Cartenz Peace Operations.
Head of Cartenz Peace Operations, Commissioner Nanang Purnomo, along with First Brigadier Nabila Tanaty and Brigadier Edgard W Suripatty visited the Indonesian Coffee and Cocoa Research Center in Jember, East Java.
Their arrival from Papua is to enhance the cooperation between the Indonesian National Police Task Force with the Coffee and Cocoa Research Center to develop coffee plants in the central mountainous region of Jayapura.
"We want to develop the plantation sector for people in Papua in terms of coffee cultivation," said Head of Cartenz Peace Operations in Jember, Monday (28/3/22).
"There are 5 areas that we will develop for residents in the central mountains of Papua," explained the Head of Cartenz Peace Operations.
The five areas in question are Nduga, Puncak, Intan Jaya, Yahukimo, and the Bintang Mountains. It is hoped that by cultivating this coffee plant, residents in the five regions will be able to further improve their welfare and economy independently.
"As our program initially aims, we are trying our best for the people of Papua, especially in the five central highlands," concluded the Head of Cartenz Peace Operations.
Meanwhile, the Director of Indonesian Coffee and Cocoa Research, Jember, East Java, Dr. Agung Wahyu Susilo, S.P., M.P., who was visited by the Cartenz Peace Operations said that his party had already conducted this research in Papua in 2017.
"We have researched the coffee plant seeds that were developed in the central mountains of Jayapura had already been studied in 2017, and the results were that the coffee plant could grow well and have a distinctive taste from the land of Papua," said Agung.
In maintaining a balance of taste in each coffee production, the Indonesian coffee and cocoa research center in Jember will assist at every step of coffee-making processing carried out by the Cartenz Peace Operations.
