tribratanews.polri.go.id - Bengkulu Police Chief (Kapolda Bengkulu), Inspector General Drs Agung Wicaksono, M.Sc., emphasized that during the Holy Month of Ramadan this year, it is forbidden to hold joint iftar activities and open houses, both in the Holy Month of Ramadan and on Eid Al-Fitr 1443 Hijriah.
This statement came as a response to the Instruction of the President of the Republic of Indonesia that was conveyed by the Indonesian National Police Chief regarding the prohibition of breaking the fast together and open houses during the holy month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1443 H.
Kapolda Bengkulu also ordered Bengkulu Police officials to comply with the regulation.
"The rules are clear and no one should violate them," said the Two-Star General.
On that occasion, Kapolda Bengkulu also said happy fasting to all members, and also conveyed to all members that the difference between day-1 of Ramadan is not a problem.
According to him, mutual respect between each other is the key to a good relationship and unity regardless of the difference. Not only that, but he also asks for the non-Muslim personnel to be able to respect the personnel who are fasting, and the personnel who are fasting should also respect the non-Muslim personnel who do not fast.
"Happy fasting to all members, to those who have started the fasting since Saturday or Sunday. Differences are not something to be concerned about," concluded Inspector General Drs Agung Wicaksono, M.Sc.
