The Mimika Regency Government of Papua Province supports the Papuan Police's (Polda Papua) plan to build the Bhayangkara Type D Hospital in Timika in 2022. Mimika Deputy Regent, Johannes Rettob, said the presence of Bhayangkara Hospital in Timika would increase the development of health facilities in the region to help the community.
"If a permit from the local government is needed for the construction of the Bhayangkara Hospital in Timika, we are ready to hand it out. The thing is that all efforts to build and provide services to the community must be fully supported by the local government," said John Rettob, Thursday (31/03/2022).
He stated that he had met with the head of Asrena Team of the Indonesian National Police, Brigadier General Budi Yuwona while traveling by plane from Jayapura to Timika on Wednesday (30/3). The arrival of the Asrena Police Team to Timika was to meet Mimika Regent Eltinus Omaleng to discuss the construction of Bhayangkara Hospital in Timika.
Mimika Police Chief (Kapolres Mimika) AKBP IGG Era Adhinata said Bhayangkara Type D Hospital would be built next to Mimika Police Headquarters on Jalan Agimuga Mile 32, Kuala Kencana District.
"The construction of the Bhayangkara Type D Hospital in Timika is solely to serve the people in the Timika area and its surroundings, members of the Police, and members of the TNI. The location for the construction of the Bhayangkara Hospital is near the Mimika Police Headquarters due to considerations of being close to the Mimika Police Headquarters and the Mobile Brigade Head Battalion B. Papuan Police," said Kapolres Mimika.
According to him, the budget for the construction of the Timika Type D Bhayangkara Hospital is entirely from the National Police Headquarters and is planned to start work in 2022.
