tribratanews.polri.go.id - The Head Unit of Noken Community Development of Cartenz Peace Ops, KBP Nanang Purnomo SH., M.H., invited Iyus Rustandi, owner of Bakso Bang Yus who is quite well known in the Abepura, and alumni of the Malang Agricultural Institute majoring in Food Technology. He is skilled and experienced in the field of food processing and KBP Nanang Purnomo invites him to train the personnel of the Noken Task Force on how to process raw food ingredients into multipurpose food ingredients on Tuesday (14/04/22).

There were 8 personnel who attends the training, they are Ipda Febrianto, Brigadier Nasrudin Fahmy, First Brigadier Nabila, First Brigadier Fitri, First Brigadier Sutowiaji, First Brigadier Yudarmon, Brigadier Agung, and Brigadier Reksa.

The purpose and objective of the training are to ensure that the Task Force has the skills in processing the raw food ingredients into multipurpose food ingredients. Then the skills acquired will be passed on to residents in the central mountains of Papua, especially in the 5 district areas, which are the Bintang Mountains, Yahukimo, Nduga, Intan Jaya, and Puncak.

The skills will later be adjusted to the potential of natural resources in their respective areas or according to what the local community wants. What is important is that the local community can independently manage the potential of their respective natural resources.

If the production results exceed the production for independent consumption, the Task Force has prepared a distribution system to assist the production sale that can benefit the local community.

The training starts on how to make tomato sauce, flour, jam, and cooking oil, which of course will be assessed and collected by the Task Force to find out which areas consume the most or need the food.

The Noken Community Development of Cartenz Peace Ops will assist with the mixed ingredients needed for the manufacture of cooking oil, sauce, jam, flour, etc which have not been produced locally. They hope that the residents in the central highlands of Papua, especially in the five district areas, will be able to manage the potential food sources in their territory independently.
