tribratanews.polri.go.id - A passenger on the Roro Ship was arrested by an officer from the Bengkalis Water Police (Polair Bengkalis), for carrying drugs. The perpetrators have the initials AH (35).
The authorities confiscated 15 kg of crystal methamphetamine. The perpetrator was arrested when he was about to depart from Rupat, Bengkalis to Dumai City, Riau. AH was arrested after the police received information that the suspect would bring methamphetamine to Dumai City.
"From the suspects, 15 packages of shabu were secured as the evidence," said Head of Polair Law Enforcement, AKBP Wawan Setiawan, on Tuesday (05/04/22).
The arrests were made when two ships from the Bengkalis Polair and security guards were stalking the Roro ship which was departing from Rupat, Bengkalis to Dumai City. When they arrived at Dumai Harbor, the police intercepted the suspected and checked the perpetrator's luggage.
"The evidence was obtained from the bag the suspect was carrying. Currently, the suspect is being investigated," concluded the Head of Polair Law Enforcement.
