tribratanews.polri.go.id - West Java Police (Polda Jabar) Traffic Directorate (Dirlantas), Commissioner Romin Thaib, S.I.K., M.Sc., prepared three backup plans on how to act if a long traffic jam occurs at the Cileunyi Toll Gate (GT) during the Lebaran 2022 homecoming flow. The three plans were prepared because the Cileunyi GT is a busy point.
"We have prepared all backup plans in every point, that's our efforts to make this homecoming flow run smoothly, so we hope that the community also participates in succeeding this yearly event," said Dirlantas, in Bandung, West Java, Saturday (23/04/22).
First, he stated that he had coordinated with Jasa Marga in adding card readers (card scanners) to speed up travelers leaving the toll gate using an E-Toll card.
Second, according to him, the police officers will direct the vehicle to continue to drive to the Cisumdawu Toll Road. Later, the travelers who want to go to the south route can exit at GT Jatinangor. "After leaving Jatinangor, travelers can adjust themselves which way they want to go," explained Dirlantas.
Third, his party will also manage vehicles to instead go to GT Gedebage if there is a long queue at GT Cileunyi. He also appealed to the public to seek information before deciding which route they will take.
Currently, GT Cileunyi has narrowed its lanes after the construction of the Cisumdawu Toll Road. Previously, GT Cileunyi was the end gate on the Purbaleunyi Toll Road, but now the exit lanes are reduced due to the existence of a canal lane to the Cisumdawu Toll Road.
Because, now that information is easy to get by looking at the Google Maps application or any other digital maps, "from now on we will also consider the community as a subject, not an object anymore in this homecoming, people need to participate in choosing the right time before making a trip to avoid traffic jams," concluded Dirlantas.
