Polda Kalteng Implement E-TLE in Palangka Raya

Starting from Saturday, March 26, 2022, the Traffic Corps (Korlantas) of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) has officially implemented the second phase of Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (E-TLE) nationally, including at the Central Kalimantan Police (Polda Kalteng)

This application was officially launched by the National Police Chief (Kapolri) General Police Drs. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, M.Sc., and attended by top officials from the National Police Headquarters, and all Polda throughout Indonesia.

Meanwhile, at the Central Kalimantan Police Headquarters, the inauguration activity was attended by the Central Kalimantan Police Chief (Kapolri) Inspector General Drs. Nanang Avianto, M.Sc., accompanied by the Deputy Chief of Police (Wakapolda) and the main officials of the Central Kalimantan Regional Police, and was also attended by the Forkopimda of Central Kalimantan virtually, at the Arya Dharma Hall, the local Police Headquarters, Saturday (26/3/22).

The Central Kalimantan Police Chief (Kapolda Kalteng) said that this innovation was made to fulfill the wishes of the community, especially the services by the Directorate of Traffic members.

"With the launch of E-TLE, this program hopes to improve security, safety, order and smoothness programs and reduce the number of traffic accidents in Central Kalimantan Province," said Kapolda Kalteng.

"It is hoped that the law enforcement by E-TLE can run optimally, so that road users can be more obedient and the number of violations can decrease," explained the Two-Star General.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Director of ditlantas Polda Kalteng, AKBP I Gede Putu Dedy Ujia, S.I.K., M.T., added that the implementation of the working mechanism of the E-TLE is that the device will automatically catch traffic violations that are monitored and send the evidence of violations to the operator.

"Furthermore, from the results of the violation, officers will identify vehicle data using Electronic Registration & Identification (ERI) as a source of vehicle data," said Wadirlantas Polda Kalteng.

"In Palangka Raya, ETLE will be installed at the traffic light Tjilik Riwut Km 1, precisely in front of the Cathedral Church and starting today," he said.

According to him, the implementation of E-TLE is not only aimed at increasing public awareness, but also serves to encourage people to be adhere to the law of the roads.
