Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Nduga. The Regional Police of Papua (Polda Papua) denied the claim of TPNPB-OPM who said that they have shot down two commercial planes in Kenyam Airport, Nduga Regent, Papua on Monday (28/3/2022). The Head of Public Relations (Kabid Humas) of Polda Papua, Commissioner Ahmad Mustofa Kamal, S.H, said there were no such accidents in Papua.

"None, nothing happened. It was just a false claim and to spread terror among the community," said Kabid Humas Polda Papua, Tuesday (29/3/2022).

TPNPB-OPM previously claimed that they have shot down two commercial planes at Kenyam Airport on Monday.

The assault was done after they shot two TNI soldiers in the military post of Mupe Yonif Marine-33 a few days back.

"We have successfully shot down two commercial planes who carried TNI/Polri soldiers to Kenyam," said the spokesperson of TPNPB-OPM, Sebby Sambom to the reporters on Monday (28/3/2022).

According to Sebby, the plane is carrying a state apparatus from Wamena and Timika to Kenyam. He said the show was carried out by Ndugama Derakma under the supervision of Brigadier General Egianus Kogeya

Sebby claimed that the plane named Trigan Air was hit by eight shells, while Alda Air was hit by four shells.

"The shot was due to the commemoration of National Commission of TPNPB that ordered to shot down any plane who carries the personnel of TNI/Polri," he said.
