Tribratanews.polri.go.id - The Indonesian National Police have coordinated with the Ministry of Communication and Information to block the video of the suspect in the alleged hate speech case containing sensitive topics (SARA), Saifuddin Ibrahim.
the Head of the Public Information Section (Kabag Penum) of the Public Relations Division (Divisi Humas) of the Indonesian National Police (Polri), Commissioner Gatot Repli Handoko, S.I.K., on Friday (01/04/22), said that the process of blocking Saifuddin Ibrahim’s video was still in progress. However, Gatot admitted that there were still several videos related to Saifuddin Ibrahim that were not removed for the sake of investigation.
Saifuddin Ibrahim was officially identified as a suspect by the Directorate of Cybercrime of Polri after he uploaded his content on YouTube containing hate speech, SARA, and blasphemy. In his content, he requested the abolition of 300 verses in the Koran.
For his actions, Saifuddin Ibrahim is suspected of violating Article 45A paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 28 Paragraph (2) of Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning ITE and/or Article 156 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 156a of the Criminal Code and/or Article 14 paragraph (1), paragraph (2) and/or Article 15 of Law no. 1 of 1946 concerning Criminal Law Regulations.
