Tribratanews.polri.go.id - The Deputy of the House of Representatives, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, considered the recommendation of the Honorary Council of Medical Ethics of the Indonesian Doctors Association (MKEK IDI) regarding the dismissal of the former Minister of Health (Menkes) Terawan Agus Putranto was very dangerous for the medical world. When studying this decision, Dasco saw that Terawan’s dismissal was illegal and caused a lot of commotions.
“I think it is very dangerous for the medical world. But I have studied carefully about this dismissal, we can state that this dismissal is not legal,” Dasco told reporters at the Senayan Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Monday (28/3/2022).
Dasco explained that the first recommendation was only a recommendation from the IDI MKEK while the second recommendation can only be executed by the IDI Executive Board (PB). Meanwhile, the old board has been retired and the new one has not been appointed.
According to him, the recommendation was then read out at the IDI congress forum by an unknown formation, causing a commotion. For this reason, the Daily DPP Chairman of the Gerindra Party believes that Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin can handle the problems that occur between PB IDI and Terawan, and hopefully, this problem can be solved by the new PB IDI.
“Well, I am sure and believe that the Minister of Health can handle this problem with the new PB IDI management, because I saw that the new PB IDI administrator is likely to be able to accommodate or able to communicate this problem quite well, which will later be facilitated by the Ministry of Health,” Dasco explained.
Because of the commotion, this member of Commission III of the DPR asked the police to investigate this matter, especially regarding the provocateur of the noise regarding Terawan’s dismissal.
“I will ask the police to investigate the person who caused this noise and be prosecuted. Because we don’t want this kind of incident to happen again,” said Dasco.
