Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Chief of the National Police (Polri) Food Task Force, Inspector General Helmy Santika, S.H., S.I.K., M.Sc., held an internal coordination meeting to evaluate the availability and prices of food supplies ahead of Ramadhan and Eid. The coordination meeting was attended by the central Food Task Force and regional food task force units from all over Indonesia. Inspector General Helmy Santika explained that in general, the availability of daily supplies for the community ahead of the fasting month and Eid this year is sufficient.
"This is based on the results of our monitor, statements, and data collected from the relevant ministries. Several commodities have become our focus besides cooking oil, which is sugar, beef, and soybeans because they still depend on imports and their prices are influenced by global developments," explained the Two-Star General, Wednesday (30/3/2022).
For local commodities such as shallots and chilies, the expert staff of the National Police for Management said that in general, the stock availability is safe.
He also said the government had taken anticipatory steps in this regard through the realization of the importation of sugar, beef, and soybeans to fulfill the stocks in the community.
