East Java Regional Police Invites Muhammadiyah to Support the

In keeping and fostering diversity, Chief of East Java Regional Police, Police Inspector General Nico Afrita, held a hospitality event with East Java Regional Administrator of Muhammadiyah (PW Muhammadiyah). The event is held in order to maintain Indonesian diversity, particularly in East Java. Besides that, there are some agenda discussed between the Regional Police and PW Muhammadiyah of East Java. “East Java Regional Police and PW Muhammadiyah of East Java are ready to cooperate in maintaining diversity in East Java to foster unity and oneness of the nation”, Chief of East Java Regional Police said. Chief East Java Regional Police also hopes that this meeting can weave the communication, coordination, and collaboration in East Java’s handling of the Covid-19 pandemic by issuing appeals on adhering to Covid-19 health protocol from a religious’s perspective by all caretakers of PW Muhammadiyah of East Java. Furthermore, PW Muhammdiyah of East Java is also ready to support Indonesian National Police in drug abuse eradication efforts in East Java, mainly around Islamic boarding schools to save the nation’s future generation. “PW Muhammadiyah (of East Java) is ready to support Moderasi programme built by Indonesian National Police and National Counter-Terrorism Agency. We are also ready to collaborate in deradicalisation activity and provide economic support to the former convict of terrorism so they will not be trapped in the same hole again. We also help the government in the effort to boost East Java’s economic growth, mainly in Small, Micro, and Medium Enterprises”, PW Muhammadiyah of East Java concludes.
