tribratanews.polri.go.id - The East Java Police (Polda Jatim) Forensic Laboratory (Labfor) team investigated the cause of the fire in Tunjungan Plaza (TP) 5 Surabaya, Thursday (14/04/22).
A total of seven forensic members of Polda Jatim came to the location. The team was led directly by the Head of the Forensic Lab for Polda Jatim, Commissioner Sodiq Pratomo.
Labfor Polda Jatim's team processed the crime scene where the fire occurred, which will determine the location of where the fire first started.
"After the clue is found, we will look for the evidence that points out what caused the fire. That is our task today," explained Commissioner Sodiq Pratomo.
Labfor Polda Jatim team brought several supporting tools, such as a fuel detector, flashlight, and several other types of equipment. Given the large area, he will divide the team into several groups to investigate crime scene investigations (TKP).
The Head of Labfor Polda Jatim added that the team will explore the first location where the fire started, to look for evidence that caused the fire to spread.
Until now, the police have not been able to confirm how long the team will finish the investigation.
"We don't know (how long it will take). Our work will adjust with the location. Because we have not determined how difficult it is," concluded Commissioner Sodiq Pratomo.
