Several Departemental Police (Polres) of Jambi Regional Police (Polda Jambi) managed to uncover approximately 13 cases of illegal fuel oil (BBM) in one week and 20 people were arrested in this case.
Head of Public Relations (Kabid Humas) of Polda Jambi, Commissioner Mulia Prianto explained that the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation (ditreskrimsus) of Polda Jambi had found 13 cases of illegal from March 31 to April 5. "Twenty of the perpetrators were detained at Polres Headquarters," he explained, Thursday (7/4/22).
Commissioner Mulia Prianto also conveyed that the Polres Muarojambi had also managed to secure five cars that had been modified to abuse subsidized diesel fuel.
"The way they did it is bought the fuel repeatedly using the modified car and then resell it at a higher price," he explained.
On the same occasion, the Director of ditreskrimsus of Polda Jambi, Commissioner Christian Tory stated that the fuel issue is still one of their main focus. "We will follow up on what the government is paying attention to and we will respond to it and take action immediately," he explained.
