Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Ahead of the holy month of Ramadhan, the Central Java Police (Polda Jateng) are trying to ensure that the stock of cooking oil in the market remains safe and meets the needs of the community.
The Food Task Force of Polda Jateng has tightened their supervision over the distribution of cooking oil from factories, distributors to consumers.
Head of Public Relations (Kabid Humas) Polda Jateng, Commissioner M. Iqbal Alqudusy stated that so far the stock of cooking oil in Central Java is safe. The daily demand for cooking oil is estimated at 45,968 liters, while the available daily stock reaches 52,032 liters.
“During our last inspection for the stock of goods in Central Java, there were around 6,780 tons ready to be distributed,” said Kabid Humas Polda Jateng, Friday (25/03/22).
Commissioner M. Iqbal Alqudusy emphasized that the police were wary of the disruption in the distribution, which could lead to stock shortages in cooking oil supply shops.
“Although it will not take too long, the stock shortage must be minimized. For this reason, the food task force team has requested that the delivery to distributors of cooking oil be accelerated and without delay. Monitoring and coordination efforts like this will be continued,” he said.
Polda Jateng has empowered all of their fronts to eliminate the scarcity of daily supplies for the community.
“Personnel from the regional police and sectoral police have been ordered to monitor the situation on the market. Stocks and developments in cooking oil prices and other community needs will continue to be monitored and reported. For smooth distribution, the Central Java Police are ready to coordinate with relevant agencies,” concluded Kabid Humas Polda Jateng.
