Tribratanews.polri.go.id – The North Sumatra Regional Police (Polda Sumut) formed a special team to oversee the distribution of biodiesel in North Sumatra. Gas stations are required to only sell biodiesel to those who are entitled. Industry, government vehicles, and private cars are asked to use non-subsidized diesel.
North Sumatra Police Chief (Kapolda Sumut) Inspector General Drs. R.Z. Panca Putra Simanjuntak, M.Sc., said that if they find violations from the seller or buyer, they will act according to the rules and applicable laws.
"We have formed a team to supervise the distribution of fuel in the field. If we found any irregularities, legal action will be taken, either against the seller or the buyer. This is our part of our focus," said Kapolda Sumut, on Wednesday (30/03/22).
The statement was made by Kapolda Sumut after holding a meeting with the North Sumatra Regional Acting Pertamina Patra Executive Manager Himawan and the Deputy Head of Gas Station Division of the North Sumatran Oil and Gas National Entrepreneurs Association, Indahsari Karokaro at the North Sumatra Police Headquarters.
"We have agreed, especially before Ramadhan and Eid al-Fitr, Pertamina will meet the needs of the community in the field of diesel fuel," said Kapolda Sumut.
