Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Traffic Corps (Korlantas) of the Indonesian National Police (Polri), will block the vehicle registration certificate (STNK) of the driver who violates the speed limit on the toll highway that refuses to pay the fine. It was announced that drivers are prohibited from driving faster than 120 km/hour on the toll road. The Director of Law Enforcement (Dirgakkum) of Korlantas Polri, Brigadier General Drs. Aan Suhanan, M. Sc, explained that those policies will be implemented along with the implementation of E-TLE in Toll Trans Jakarta and Trans Sumatra.

"If they refuse to pay, then we will have to block their STNK," he said on Tuesday (29/3/2022).

The Police will no longer have to confiscate the STNK or other vehicle documents when ticketing road violators. According to him, the violators will be notified when they violate the law of the road.

"There will be a letter of confirmation that will be sent to the address based on the STNK, and the fine can be paid through mobile banking," he said.

The One-Star General also explained that the policy is aimed to reduce direct interaction between the officers and the violators. Therefore, it will also prevent the misconduct of the officers in the field.
