The Minister of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (PPPA), Bintang Puspayoga was very angry with the case of the rape of two children by his father in Likupang, North Minahasa, North Sulawesi. The Minister of PPPA requested that law enforcement officers be able to impose a maximum sentence against the perpetrators in accordance with Law Number 17 of 2016.
The two victims are sisters aged 14 and 20 and the daughters of the perpetrator, YK, 43. The perpetrator who was supposed to be their guardians, turns out to be the one who viciously abused his two daughters for years.
"The ministry urged that the law enforcement to deliver the justice by imposing maximum punishment to the abuser, and don't let any disparity of the crime or any mercy to the suspect.i said this to all law enforcement in Indonesia so this kind of atrocities woul never happen again," said the Minister firmly.
The case was discover after the younger sister told her uncle what was her father did to her and her older sister. Then her uncle reported the case to the Village Head and then the case was processed by the Sectoral Police of Likupang.
The Minstry of PPPA appreciates the bravery of the younger sister in revealing the cruelty of her to her uncle and the Village Head, so that the case can be handled by Likupamg Police.
It requires a high commitment from all the Law Enforcement to deliver the justice in accordance to law of the state.

Robert said, if the perpetrator is proven to have committed violence or threatened to force his daughters to have sexual intercourse with him, and the perpetrator is a parent, or a person who has a family relationship with the victim, and the victim is more than one child, then the perpetrator, allegedly can be charged with multiple articles, Article 76D Law 35/2014 in conjunction with Article 81 paragraphs 1, 3, 5, 6, 7 of Law 17/2016 concerning the Stipulation of PERPU 1/2016 concerning the 2nd Amendment to Law 23/2002 concerning Child Protection to become a law with a death penalty, life imprisonment or imprisonment for a minimum of 10 years and a maximum of 20 years in prison.

The North Minahasa Regency PPPA Service will carry out psychological assistance to the two victims. The SAPA team from the Ministry of PPPA is still coordinating with the North Minahasa Regency PPPA Office regarding psychological assistance to victims, and is continuing to coordinate with the North Minahasa Resort Police regarding overseeing the legal process.
